“Where We Are, Where We’re Going”
Over the last thirty years, changes in demographics, the economy, and the environment have shaped the way people have experienced the City of Temple City. The Temple City City Council has decided it’s time to reevaluate the goals, policies and actions of the 1987 General Plan. The General Plan Update process will not only help to highlight what makes Temple City unique, but also help elected officials and the community understand the range of issues and opportunities that Temple City faces, specifically in regards to housing, education, recreation, culture, circulation, health and safety and the economy.
It has been over 25 years since Temple City approved its last General Plan and comprehensively evaluated the priorities that are most important to the community. Are they the same? Have they changed? Over the course of the next several years, we will want to know: what should the community look like in 2050? The City invites all residents, business owners, and community members to learn more about the General Plan Update process, and to participate in shaping Temple City’s vision for the future. This website will serve as the City’s primary resource for updates related to the General Plan – we invite you to check back here often!
